ingredients
3/4 cup dry white wine
8 ounces shredded Gruyere cheese
8 ounces shredded Fontina cheese
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Focaccia or French bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
directions
Add the wine to the crock pot. Turn the heat to high and let the wine heat, uncovered, for 20 minutes or until it is very warm (it will need to be warm enough to melt the cheese).
When the wine is heated, combine the gruyere, fontina, flour, and mustard in a bowl and mix until well blended and the cheese is coated in the flour.
Add 1 cup of the cheese mixture to the heated wine. Stir to completely coat the cheese in the wine. Let sit on high heat, uncovered, until melted (stir once or twice).
When melted, and another measure of cheese. Continue adding cheese after each addition has melted.
To serve the fondue, turn the heat to low. Serve bread cubes with fondue forks for dipping.
